So, I've been watching some excerpts from Jeremie Bonamant Teboul's painting DVD and decided to give his Zenithal priming a go.
It's similar to my old technique which basically was to prime my minis black and then dry-brush with white but he takes it a step further and it seems to have made things a fair bit easier.
His method seems to vary depending on the mini type but basically you paint the base coats and then over spray with white almost directly from above. This shows you exactly where the natural highlights are and you then paint as normal with super thin paint almost the consistency of a wash using the lightened areas for your highlights etc.
My photo set up stinks right now as all my old stuff was American (110 volts) and I just don't have the disposable income to replace it but my camera did its best under some very shitty conditions so hopefully you'll be able to get an idea of how things look on the cloak of this GW Warrior Priest.
